As the main city of the Costa Blanca, cosmopolitan Alicante has a lot to offer; with its 5 miles of golden sand, its beautiful seafront promenades, excellent shops & restaurants and wealth of sports and entertainment; Alicante is a major magnet for Spanish and foreign holidaymakers alike.
Alicante is only 10-15 minutes from the apartment by car. The bus service that runs through Gran Alacant, Santa Pola and into Alicante takes approx. 35 minutes.
The city centre offers an excellent range of top quality shops including the famous El Corte Ingles department store, along with fashion boutiques that we know and love here in the UK such as Zara and Mango. There are local handicrafts, such as ceramics from Agost, bags and wicker baskets from Gata de Gorgos, rugs from Crevillente, the latest designer clothes, leather goods and exquisite gift shops. The creation of the Panoramis leisure complex on the western part of the Marina, as well as other shopping and commercial centres has added more bars, pubs, cafés, restaurants and cinema screens to Alicante's list of free-time activities. This new complex is located in an unbeatable environment that takes in the Marina, the Santa Bárbara castle and the seafront. This new area complements the marina's leisure area, with which Panoramis is communicated by means of a small boat.
